Living Area

A few steps lead into the tower and the characterful living room furnished with antique style pine furnishings and the hugely comfortable extra wide sofas. Sit back and enjoy cable TV, DVD and stereo.

In the large day room, the dining area is perfectly placed to take advantage of view of the tropical palms and flowering plants that surround Villa Sofia. Furniture again is antique style ponderosa pine and there is a large grandfather clock to remind you it is time go to the beach or remember that table reservation at one of the island's many great restaurants.

Large glass sliders lead out on to the generous balcony so you can dine indoors or outdoors with equal ease. Keep in touch with family, friends and business with Hi-Speed DSL internet access.

Kitchen

Cook out on the grill down by the pool or fix snacks, lunch or dinner in the fully equipped kitchen. Maple wood cabinetry and the full range of appliances including dishwasher, range, refrigerator/freezer, and microwave with dishes, pots, pans, silverware and small appliances provided.

The large capacity washer & the dryer are housed in a separate laundry room with iron & ironing board.

Bedrooms

A hand-crafted oak staircase leads up to the two master suites. All three of the bedrooms have TV, thick, comfortable pillow top mattresses and good quality linens.

The Master Bedroom Suite 1 has a huge king-size antique style pine bed, private bathroom and a large closet with a couple of twin pillow topped mattresses stored in case you have a couple of extra visitors. Glass sliders lead out on to a private balcony with loungers for relaxing quietly with an early morning coffee or escaping for a quiet read in the afternoon.

The romantic Master Bedroom Suite 2 in the tower has a king size poster bed, large closet and private bathroom with a large oval whirlpool spa tub for two and shower.

Bedroom 3 has two twin beds and a private bathroom.

Bathrooms

Master bathroom 1 has a roll top Victorian style cast iron bath tub, a separate shower, and classic white Heritage fixtures including two wash hand basins and a bidet.

Bathroom 2 contains a large oval whirlpool spa bathtub for two with built-in arm rests, extra deep soaking area and hydrotherapy provided by dual air controls, plus a shower fixture.

Bathroom 3 has a shower.

Bathrooms are all supplied with freshly laundered towels.

Outside

Outside among the tall palms and the flowering tropical plants there is an electrically heated swimming pool with Roman styl,e brick paved surround, loungers for sunbathing and a grill for cook-outs. A wooden pergola provides a shady area to sit and enjoy a good book or just lay back and close your eyes.

The swimming pool is electrically heated so you can take a swim year round and the island's pool company visits twice weekly to ensure it is kept in the best condition possible for guests.

Just three minutes' walk from your front gates lies the gorgeous stretch of seven miles of white sand beaches that string out along Anna Maria Island's west coast.

There is a great little place there called Cafe on the Beach - they serve breakfast that you can eat with your feet in the sands - try their all you can eat pancakes with maple syrup and butter and a dish of fresh fruits or go for the "full Monty" of eggs, bacon & fries washed down with limitless cups of coffee. The trolley stops here so you can ride up and down the island free of charge and if you do want to have your car close by for elderly relatives or very small children then there is parking under the pine trees.
