With my 40th birthday approaching, i wanted to go someplace that was special to me and Sunchase Villa was it. I first stayed here back in 2002 with a friend’s family and it was probably one of the best vacations I have ever had. Both that first one and the next 3 to 4 years that we rented this sweet cottage. Renting this place again seemed like a perfect idea and it was. I love love love this little cottage. It’s location is perfect. Close to the beach and what a beach it is! The only reason I give this place a 4 instead of 5 is 2 issues that we noticed during our stay. One is the beds. In a couple of rooms, the guest felt like they had to sleep uphill or risk rolling off the bed because of the low spots in the mattresses. The second issue is the state of the front porch. Yes this is an almost 100 year old house, but the porch (my favorite place in this house) seems in serious need of some shoring up. There are some spots on the porch that seem downright dangerous. Other than that this place was perfection! I love the remodeled bathrooms downstairs. The kitchen was very well appointed too!. We are seriously considering making this trip and annual adventure again!
