OLD is the key word!!!!

Negatives – This rental home has very deceptive photos. When we arrived we quickly realized that this home was extremely old. The floors in the main room had been redone and the bathroom but that is it! The furnishings looked like they were picked up at goodwill. The dishes were old. There were 4 coffee cups. The beds, the pots and pans, the refrigerator – EVERYTHING was old. There we roaches too. My son still likes to have blankey at night. I looked in his suitcase for a new one and saw a roach leg on it!!!! I really can’t believe that this rental company agrees to rent this house out. The pillows, sheets and towels were OLD. It was so yucky we went to a Hampton Inn in Bradenton the first night. Then mid way through we went to the Ritz for one night. Then we cut our vacation short and went to the Westin in Tampa the last night. Too bad for the house, because the location is awesome! Oh and they did not supply us with any trashbags, toilet paper, kitchen sponges. The kiitchen was inadequate to say the least. No grill,, No NOTHING!!!!

Thank you taking your time to let us know about your stay at Low Tide.  We are sorry to hear that the home was not as you expected.
Our records show that you called our office after hours on May 29th the day of your arrival to let us know that you were not happy with your accommodation.  Our options to move you to an alternate home were limited, as you wanted to stay on the gulf.  The only two homes we had available with a water view, were Sunny Side Up which is a canal front home and a 3 bedroom gulf front condo that came in at a nightly rate 3 times of Low Tide.  You decided to stay at Low Tide due to the location.
The following morning, May 30th – our Housekeeping manager attempted to reach you and left a voicemail asking for a call back to see what we can do to make your stay more enjoyable.  We attempted to reach you again later on in the day and also emailed you. Upon your husbands call at 4 pm, we delivered new pots and pans, dishtowels, sponges and garbage bags that we generally don’t provide in addition to the starter pack provided by the cleaners.  Those were the only items you reported to us in need of replacing.  Even though the home sleeps a total of 4, we would’ve loved to have gotten you more coffee mugs if we new you required additional mugs.  We apologize for the misunderstanding regarding the grill, our web-site does not advertise the property to have a grill.  Tough not pleasant, Palmetto bugs are common in our subtropical climate.  All of our homes are on a quarterly pest control service schedule.

Please note that you booked the property online and never contacted us until the day of your arrival. ​ Our reservation agents would have assisted you in answering any additional questions that may be important to you such as location, amenities the home provides, style of the home etc. and would’ve helped you hand select a home that would fit your needs best.  Low Tide is an old Florida style cottage which is not a modern, contemporary style home.  The pictures online show exactly what to expect.
