** If you would like to have your pool heated, we kindly ask that you please contact AMV at least 10 days prior to your arrival so that it ensures us ample time to fulfill your request. We do offer pool heat as needed as a courtesy to our guests at no additional charge. All of our pools and pool equipment are closely monitored by the pool company for your safety, we kindly ask that the controls not be tampered with- most of the systems are locked for this reason. Due to the island's strict 10pm noise ordinance, the pool heaters will not run overnight. Please remember, outdoor spas are not hot tubs (some properties have a spa, some have a hot tub). Generally speaking, our winter months are considered from November through April. During these months we do our best to ensure that the pools are heated to a temperature of 82 degrees. However, please be aware that even in Central Florida we do occasionally get cold spells that can send the temperatures down into the 30's for a few nights in a row. This will cause the pool water temperature to draw down to in the 70's and a pool pump will automatically shut down if the outside temperature gets too cold. The pump will then kick back on in the morning and begin re-heating of the pool back to 82, which may take several days depending on the severity of the cold spell. Ultimately, these situations are beyond our control. Other issues such as severe weather conditions, equipment malfunction, temporary loss of use of equipment or amenities due to maintenance purposes or other items do happen for time to time. Please be aware that AMV cannot issue refunds during your stay based on acts of God. However, please know that in the rare event of pool equipment malfunction during your stay, AMV will do everything in our power to expedite repairs as quickly as possible as we certainly want you to enjoy your heated pool and Florida sunshine to the fullest extent possible! Anna Maria Vacations thanks you in advance for your understanding on this issue.

These are my husband’s comments about The Beach Front on AMI:
“My wonderful bride of almost 17 years and I just returned from a much awaited week of vacation on AMI in a comfortable homey condo right on the beach. We were joined by my wife’s parents who loved the experience as much as we did.
The well-appointed condo supplied everything except groceries, which were available right around the corner at Publix. Even though our condo had five units, we enjoyed privacy because of the building layout. Bring your bathing suits, food (and maybe some libation) and you too can enjoy spectacular sunsets from a spacious deck just a few feet from the Gulf of Mexico.
We hope to return next year!”
I couldn’t have said it any better, other than the staff at Anna Maria Vacations were wonderful to work with since I had numerous questions before our arrival. They answered each one very timely and professionally!

Three years ago we took our family to this same rental and enjoyed ourselves immensly. Since we had such a good experience previously we decided to stay at the same unit this year with our family. Unfortunately, such was not the case this time. There were so many issues with this unit it is difficult to know where to even begin. The main concern we had was the lack of hot water in the second bathroom shower. We noticed this problem when we arrived on Saturday but since it was the weekend we decided to wait until Monday morning to contact the rental agency. We called the agency as soon as they opened that morning and a call was returned to us on Monday afternoon. Someone from maintenance came that afternoon and told us that a plumber would have to come and fix it. The plumber came early that evening and after looking at it stated that the cartridge in the shower would have to be replaced and he would contact the rental agency about the issue. Tuesday afternoon we received a message from the rental agency stating that the part would have to be ordered and that it would not be in until the next week after we would have departed. Wednesday morning we had a lengthy discussion with the service manager and she agreed to have the part expidited and installed as soon as possible. On Thursday evening the shower faucet was fixed, so we had two working showers for six people for two days. Being business owners ourselves we understand that issues arise but we also know that it is the responsbility of the owner and or management company to resolve issues as quickly and amicable as possible. We did our own research on this part and found it was available at a local home improvement store. It is extremely disappointing that we were told that it had to be special ordered and take over a week to be delivered and installed. Other issues including, but not limited to, were the locks not working on the patio doors, stained bed linens, soiled blankets, lack of proper lighting due to low watt bulbs,a lack of general maintenance, and the overall filth in the entire unit. We did receive a minimal refund for our inconvenience but this certainly did not make up for the issues that we encountered. It had not been our intent to go into this looking for any compensation but after talking to the service manager and her lack of trying to resolve the issue we felt some kind of a refund should be in order. We are aware that she was only doing her job for the owners of the property but it is a sad situation when all that is taken into account is the immediate bottom line. A rating of 2 was given because of the ability to walk down a few steps and be on the beautiful beach of Anna Maria. While we will certainly be back to the island we will question renting thru this particular agency again and it is doubtful we will ever rent this unit again.

Bed sheets and pillows stained. Sliding door in master bedroom unable to lock because it was broken. Slider to beach also wouldn’t lock. In room with twin beds not enough storage. My daughter were unable to unpack their suitcases due to this. Not enough outlets so there were extension cords all over condo. TO TOP IT OFF my husband and daughter was going down stairs to beach and steps collapsed with about a 4 feet drop. When complaining to realtor about how our safety was a big issues. Between doors that don’t lock and stairs collapsing while husband and daughter walking to beach. The stair collapsed on a Wednesday and they didn’t fix it till Friday afternoon. Wasn’t doing us any good we were leaving next day. I’ve been to Anna Maria before and for 3000 a week I at least expected to be safe. Realtor never contacted us to see how my husband and daughter were after the stair episode. Unbelievable and poor management.
Thank you so much for your review and feedback—we greatly appreciate your time. We want to sincerely apologize for any inconveniences that you have experienced during your stay. Per your phone conversation with our Guest Services Manager, this unit is part of a condo association that utilizes their own property management team. Upon your first notice, we immediately contacted the Sunset Condo Association to dispatch their team and repair the stairs. Our records indicate that they reported on Thursday, July 23, 2015 that they did not have all of the necessary parts to fix the stairs correctly, and did rectify this issue by Friday, July 24, 2015. Unfortunately, unforeseen issues like this can arise and the team at Anna Maria Vacations strives to provide the best service possible to our guests with a quick turnaround time, however, certain instances do require for us to contact outside sources such as condo associations.
Our records also indicate that our service team rectified the issues of the locks on the sliding doors on Monday, July 20, 2015. This unit has been part of our rental program for many years and this is the first issue we have heard in regards to lack of storage in the Twin bedroom. We thank you for bringing this to our attention and ask you to please keep in mind that this is a privately owned home—with decorative choices left up to the discretion of the owners. This bedroom is equipped with a standard sized closet available for guest use.
We thank you again so much for your feedback and for booking with us. We hope you enjoyed your time on Anna Maria Island and should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us directly at 941-778-4178.
