Beach and Bay Getaway

Beautiful condo with wonderful view of the bay. Perfect for our situation as we had my elderly mother with limited mobility. Parking was just steps to unit with roomy/non-slip walk in shower. She loved being able to step right outside and sit in the shade with a ceiling fan to watch the boats, fish jumping and even dolphins! We had 2 dogs with us and it was perfect being the end unit right next to a big grassy area and dock where we could walk them. Only points of frustration were: 1) we got a call after our first night from the rental company saying the HOA would not allow us to have two dogs. We had called multiple times prior to making the 9hr drive to confirm there wasn’t going to be any issues, so this was very upsetting. 8 hrs of back and forth, being sent alternate properties that just wouldn’t work for us and the rental company said not to worry as they would take care of things with the HOA. While frustrating, the rental company was incredibly kind, understanding and good to work with. 2) the unit above us was u see construction so there was quite a bit of banging during the day. They were good about starting late AM and ending early evening though so no disruption to sleep. We would definitely stay again and recommend to others! We didn’t use the pool, but walked by several times and it looked well kept. The location was great! Short walk to public beach and great restaurants.

The unit was immaculate and beautiful. The view was great. Enjoyed the pool. And the host was very available and responsive the couple of times we needed them.

The unit we rented was newly renovated and had all the amenities of Home. Welcome package for new visitors is a nice touch.Great location within the community and on the island. Pool area was clean and terrific, the only inconvenience was the pool clubhouse was under construction, not that big a deal. Really enjoyed our stay, will return to AMI.

We just spent two weeks at Beach and Bay Getaway and loved it. The place was clean, organized, and the kitchen was well stocked. Thank you. We loved the bay view (we saw dolphins almost every morning), and the AMI gulf beaches (where we've been coming for 20 years) was a short walk away. All great. Our one complaint about the condo itself is the towel service. We had two washcloths and one hand-towel per person so we are washing towels by day three. There should be more. Another issue, though minor, was the fact that we were given wrong codes to the pool and courts and confusing instructions on how to get in the condo. Even the revised info they gave us on the pool was wrong; we got the right code from other guests. A final disappointment which kept us from giving 5 stars relates to our desire to return next year. We would love to stay in this condo, this time for a month. When I called to book it, I was told the price had gone up 15% and that was their standard yearly increase. What? I don't get a 15% raise every year. That's high compared to past experiences on AMI. Yes, we do get a 5% discount as a returning guest, but that still leaves it at 10%. I also asked if there was a discount for staying a month and was told "No, we don't do that," which, as a business person, I don't understand. We would definitely stay here again ... but we're going to shop around a little first.

We enjoyed every minute here at Beach & Bay Getaway the view was amazing, the condo was clean and comfortable, our grand daughter loved our "beach house" and wants to come back again! Our first time to AMI and it will not be our last! May the Lord continue to bless many more with a special vacation away!

What a beautiful spot to stay! The place had all we needed & more! The beach cart with the chairs and the toys/beach games was perfectly suited for our adult family. the separated spaces in the condo was appreciated for privacy. The books, games & smart tv's kept us entertained in the evenings we are so grateful for out retreat at The Beach & Bay Getaway and we hope to return soon. We arrived in the night time just before the Christmas Holiday and it was very dark outside. The next morning I woke up at dawn and the sky had pink and orange pastel hues and the bay was still and smooth like glass. Soon a cacophony of birds were everywhere, gliding through the air and gently floating on the surface of the water. It was an amazing sight to behold, I felt that I was transported to a bird sanctuary in some far off land. I will never forget that experience. Beach and Bay Getaway was so relaxing and welcoming inside with great modern amenities. Easy walking distance to many sites including the Gulf of Mexico beaches, restaurants, shops and picturesque scenes. The sunsets were amazing as were the sunrises. I will definitely be back. Anna Maria Island has a special place in my heart.

Beautiful condo, loved the fishing, first night caught a sheep head and two red drums. Haven’t seen those fish since we lived in Tampa. Love it!!! You didn’t miss a detail, didn’t have to buy a thing! We love Anna Maria!!! Thank you!

The decor of the condo is beautiful. Being on the ground floor allowed is to be able to wake up looking at the bay. It was so relaxing. She has every appliance you could ever ask for. The buggy to wheel the beach chairs and umbrella to the beach made it so easy. Excellent location for Resturant’s too. Will definitely go back.

We especially loved the bay water view and even got to see some dolphins!!!! Very nice pool and short direct walk to beautiful private beach with provided lounge chairs. Water was clear and stunning blue green color. Beautiful sunset on beachy nights. Lots of casual restaurants within walking distance!! Condo was decorated beautifully in coastal theme and every single kitchen implement was provided. There was not one thing we needed to purchase other than groceries, extra paper towels, and laundry soap. The provided beach cart and umbrellas were a godsend along with the two pool noodles. Couches were very comfortable and TV's in all rooms had every available app preloaded. Husband's only complaint was the foamy bed pillows he found uncomfortable. But we would absolutely reccomend this condo rental and loved the quaintness and slow pace of Anna Maria Island!! A Gem!!

Location is great! This unit is on the bay side so you have a water view. Woke up to a couple dolphins swimming one morning! Short walk to the beach, trolley stop out front of the complex, and nice pool. We enjoyed having a washer and dryer to use and having the beach cart with umbrella, chairs and beach towels was so handy. The beach access was easy, we didn't miss a sunset. Each unit is assigned a parking spot so that was great to always know you had parking. Comfy beds and lots of storage for your personal belongings. Overall a fantastic place to stay. We would definitely stay here again.

The views from this home are spectacular. right when you walk in you see the water and first thing in the morning. My husband and I found the beds to be extremely comfortable and everything was clean when we checked in. A short walk took us to the beach and we enjoyed watching the sunset. we will stay here again.
