I just returned from a week at the Conch House with my wife, our 2 children & their spouses and our grandchildren. What a great week and we couldn’t have selected a better home for our vacation. The Conch House is represented very well by the pictures. It is new, clean, decorated beautifully in a “tropical, vacation” kind of feel, well stocked with plenty of linens & kitchen equipment. The beds are comfortable and it’s very nice that they had 3 king suites. I think our favorite part of the house was the amazing pool! It has a great slide, shallow ledge for small kids and the hot tub was nice although we never could get the jets to work. That was the ONE problem we had and we didn’t consider it a biggie. You may want to bring some citronella candles because there were a lot of mosquitoes in the evening because of the beautiful, lush landscaping around the pool. The landscaping also gives you a very private feel even though the houses are close on either side.
The first day we arrived, there was no propane in the gas grill & our coffee pot wasn’t working & they sent someone quickly to address both problems. Check in was extremely easy and we were pleased with the communication & customer service from AMI.
The beach is a short 5-7 minute walk and the sand is white & water clear. The Conch House has beach chairs, toys & an umbrella which came in handy.
There’s a grocery store very close and lots of restaurants right on the island or you can cross the bridge & there are many restaurant chains to choose from.
We loved the Conch House and hope to stay there again for another family vacation!
