We are frequent renters of homes on VRBO for our vacations and have stayed at several beautiful homes and I can confidently say this was one of the best. The home was as beautiful as the photos depict, and the furniture in the living room and the bedspreads have since been updated so they are newer and even more attractive than before. The biggest complement I can give the place is it was very, very clean. I was also a bit concerned that the pool would be cold based on a previous review, but the pool was perfect, refreshing, but warm enough to go into without having to work my way in. Perfect. We are a family of three and stayed with another family of four and we had more than enough room for all of us and more. The home is about one city block to Gulf Drive, then you cross over that (there are lights and a cross walk) and then you cross the public beach parking lot and you are on the beach. Not far at all and really does take about five minutes to get there if you are lugging your beach items and herding kids. The public beach that is closest to you has all the amenities you need and more, bathrooms, food, drinks and yummy adult beverages including pina coladas and margaritas. There is also a store there with beach supplies, t-shirts and trinkets. The house is in the perfect location – close to the beach, but also right over the bridge so you don’t get caught in the island traffic. Publix grocery store and CVS drug store are a short walk away. Also the home has two refrigerators, one downstairs in a room right off the pool for convenient drink storage. The kids loved the beach, it was perfect and the waves were just right for boogie boarding. They also went fishing and caught fish both times they went. Truly, our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer. We were very sad to leave this perfect paradise home.
