3rd Annual 4th of July Jam Blast sponsored by Myakka Kayak
This jam session takes place at Snook Haven in Venice and provides live entertainment and beer from the hours of 11 am to 4 pm. There is no cover charge making this a great way to spend the early afternoon hours on the Fourth.
Gloria Musicae Patriotic Concert
Held at the First United Methodist Church in Sarasota, the concert starts at 4:30 pm and offers plenty of reasons to celebrate America’s independence. Tickets cost $30 at the door and students with a valid ID pay $5. Get out of the house and still have time to watch the fireworks display. You’ll have a truly eventful evening that way.
Selby Gardens All American Barbecue and Independence Day Celebration
Who doesn’t love barbecue and fireworks? This family-friendly event starts at 6 pm and lasts until 10 pm. It costs $30 for members, $35 for non-members, and children under 11 are admitted for free. There if four barbecue pit masters serving food up hot and fresh, live music, and plenty of fun for the whole family. The fireworks display held over the Sarasota Bay is incredible and something you’ll never forget.
The Sarasota Suncoast July 4th Celebration
The weekend long celebration takes place on every beach in the area with a spectacular fireworks display rounding out the evening on the fourth. Many people choose to watch the show by land but some prefer to remain on the water when it starts at dusk. The sooner you arrive to the area, the better choice of viewing locations you have to choose from.
