Had a wonderful time at this beautifully maintained home in a prime location on the island! Truly a 2 minute walk to the beach and 5-10 minute walk or 2 min drive to Publix and the public beach access. We were a party of 3 families, including 6 adults and children aged 3, 5 and 11. There was plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms and then some. Each family had our own private space, all of which had master bathrooms. The kids enjoyed the queen beds. One of the master rooms had a Jack & Jill setup which worked perfectly for a family with an adventurous 3-year old who needed his own bed but didn’t want to get lost on his way to the restroom in the middle of the night.
We LOVED having full sized second floor laundry!! So useful! Also appreciated the abundance of beach towels! Plenty of all of us.
WiFi was available and connectivity was good. Every bedroom has a nice sized TV. There was an Xbox available though we had technical difficulties getting logged in to our Netflix account. Comfy seating in the living room with reclining sofas.
Kitchen was beautiful and spacious. Had everything we needed and we did cook a full meal nearly every night. Extra fridge in the garage was very nice for stocking drinks and leftovers. Oversized gas Weber grill out by the pool was great and the tank was full.
We had pool maintenance call on us twice for routine cleaning; friendly and in and out quickly. The pool was perfectly heated and the hot tub was as well. Hot tub did get a little too hot for the children so it helped to turn it off after about 30 minutes to keep temps comfortable. We spent MOST of our time at the pool, which is shady and private – hardly any need for sunscreen! There was no bad time of day to sit out by the pool. In fact, it was so nice that we hardly left at all for the beach except for walks. The crow’s nest was nice if you wanted some direct sunlight for a bit. Otherwise, the shaded pool kept us at perfect 80’s temps without worry of sunburns.
Our party enjoyed the pool table quite a bit, and we took the bikes out for a spin. Very nice quiet side streets. A few of us rode down to Ginny & Jane E’s – some construction on Gulf Drive but otherwise fairly quiet and easy to navigate.
We have stayed at other AMI properties before and this by far was the best value for our dollar. We enjoyed the dual driveways, the side entrance to wash off sandy feet before getting in the pool, and plenty of space to gather as a group for meals and swimming.
